Margaret Chandra developed her skills and love of photography over 30 years while following a professional career in writing, management training, business planning and consulting.
9 years ago she opened her original GALLERY 40 at 40 Mollison St (pictured above) in Kyneton and has now had 24 exhibitions of her work as an Artist Photographer. Her current gallery is now located at 9 Piper St, Kyneton.
Exhibitions have included:

- Stonehenge,
- Morocco,
- Kenya,
- Cambodia,
- China,
- “Romancing the Boat”,
- Waterlilies,
- Flowers in general
- Australian trees and scenery
- Turkey and Lighthouses.
Margaret’s work has also featured in two BIFB Fringe exhibitions and from 2008 – 2011 GALLERY 40 sponsored and set up exhibitions of entries for the Daffodil & Arts Festival Prize for Photography with a local theme.
In 2017 Margaret became Director for the Official Daffodil and Arts Festival Photography Prize.
