Back by popular demand – Wonders of Turkey

17 January, 2016 By Margaret 1 Comment

Old Pool at Urfa, Turkey

Due to popular demand our 2016 “Wonders of Turkey” photographic exhibition will be re-opening at 11:00am on Saturday, 23 January.

To celebrate there will be drinks and nibbles at 11:30 plus an introductory talk at 12 noon about “Gobekli Tepe” – a real archeological wonder 5000 years older than Stonehenge. You are all very welcome to join us.

In addition, images of modern and ancient Istanbul on the Bosphorus, the crazy stone spires and caves of Cappadocia, stunning Pamukkale and its salt travertines and the ruins of the Roman city, Ephesus, all feature in this exhibition of Margaret Chandra’s photographs..

As well there are beautiful scenes from the ocean and the islands at Kekova, glimpses of an historical caravanserai – and Harran in the East with its strange beehive buildings.

Looking forward to seeing you at the opening or visiting our exhibition at GALLERY 40 on 9 Piper Street, Kyneton.

Thanks to Priya for the work you do on my website! Greatly appreciated! These photos have been fun. I especially love the Istanbul glimpses in the first room. Turkey is unfortunately in the news but here is where it happened – in fromt ot the Blue Mosque! Margaret
